Monday we went to Point Mallard Water Park.

We had a wonderful day despite the fact that there was a heat advisory that day. We discovered a part of the park we had never noticed before. They have a beach on the edge of the river. So we spent quite a while playing in the sand and swimming in the river. I thought it smelled awful but it was still fun. I didn't get in the water though. We built sandcastles and other things. I covered the girls legs with sand and shaped it like a mermaid tail and I made Daffy Duck's head in the sand. I think I had more fun than the kids, lol.
(I used an underwater camera instead of carrying my nice digital camera around the water park all day and some pictures turned out really blurry but I wanted to share anyway!)

Then while John and the big kids went on all the slides, including the toilet bowl slide, I took Gavin and Jordan to the kid water area with little slides and other toys. Jordan splash down-

We also spent lots of time in the wave pool.

That is my favorite! Kyle and Andrea always get a workout because they pull me out to the deepest spot while I sit on a float. I never ask them to do it, they just always do. They must love me. :)

Jordan didn't want any help after first and was so cute kicking around in her float. After a little bit though Jordan decided to ride on John's float with him. We all laughed when we noticed she was falling asleep sitting up!
Some fun under water photos -

After about 5 hours we headed home.

I was the only one to get sunburned even though I put sunscreen on...twice! Now my back is hot pink and peeling. It itches like crazy but hurts if I scratch. John said he is going to buy me a wet suit like divers wear so I can keep from burning. LOL! We had planned to have a cookout in the backyard and play in the new sandbox but once we got home the kids all vegged out in front of the TV, too tired to move. John grilled burgers and hotdogs and we had smores for dessert.
Looks like Jordan enjoyed the smores!
Since it was Kyle's last night with us for a while we asked what he wanted to do and he chose to play Rockband. He is so amazing on the drums! Seriously...crazy good!
We all had a wonderful day!

I really appreciate seeing that you dress your girls in modest swimsuits! I hate seeing little girls in skimpy little bikinis! You're such a great mom! Barry brags about you and John all the time... I hope I can live up to the standards ya'll have set! :) I'm glad you guys had such a great weekend!
Looks like you guys had fun. I wish i could have made it too but it's a good thing I didn't take Blake with me to the DR that morning considering I was in the hospital a couple hours later. There's always next year!
I love Jordans smore face.
Pointe Mallard is the blast in the hot south on their "half-off" days! We went this monday and we loved every minute of it! Glad to see Kyle had a wonderful experience with memomries to last him a lifetime!
