Thankful for Friends

Recently, we were able to spend some time with our wonderful friends, Kim and Jill Stroud! They live out in Utah and we miss them bunches. I think it's amazing that we can go months without talking or seeing each other but the moment we get together, it's like we were never apart. You don't find friends like that often! I'm so thankful we are blessed with such a great friendship.
Jill and I played Wii bowling for 4 hours to earn a sparkly bowling ball. The next day we were both so sore! It took a minute for me to realize why I was hurt. Kim thought it was so funny that Jill had a Wii injury! Kim was addicted to the tank game on the Wii. He and John played over and over again. I see a Wii in their near future. Wii's really are fun to play and I love that you get up and move while playing many of the games.
We also played Ticket to Ride, a great board game where you build trains to different destinations. I asked John to go buy the game at Hobby Town the day before Kim and Jill came over even thought it costs $40 and we could get it for less online! It's one of my favorite board games and I really wanted to play it with Kim and Jill. It was worth it! Kim and Jill loved the game. They even borrowed it to play with Jill's family and they enjoyed it as well. We ended buying it for her sister's wedding gift. Which Kim had her open right away and borrowed it that night so they could play one last time before they headed home.
The time we spend together when they visit always passes too quickly but I'm glad we had the opportunity to hang out with them as much as we did.
