Aryn was invited to compete in a math tournament with a few others from her school. The tournament was held at the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. Parents and coaches (teachers) were not allowed in the competition areas, which was disappointing, but Aryn assures me it was boring. I was bored too. I sat around waiting for her to be done for 5 hours! I called lots of people on my cellphone to pass the time. The fun part of the day was being able to hang out with just Aryn for a fun afternoon. We had lunch together, just us, at a picnic table off to side away from all the visitors tucked under a tree covered in beautiful orange and red leaves. We talked and laughed. It was really nice. After lunch we headed back inside the museum and looked around at all the exhibits. Then, we rode the simulator ride called Mars something or other but it turns out to be a martian roller coaster ride. We headed back outside so Aryn could ride "G Force" with her friends. Even though Aryn said the math tournament was lame, I'm glad we had the chance to go spend time together.

Sounds like a fun day. I haven't been to the Space and Rocket Center since I was in the 4th or 5th grade. I wasn't too impressed then but it sounds like they have all new stuff to do there. I am glad you had a great Mommy/Daughter day. Cute pic!

You and Aryn look so cute! Sorry you had to sit for 5 hours!!! Looks like she had fun though.
