Kyle's been here for a few weeks now. We enjoy him so much and miss him terribly when he's not here. Our family just feels complete when he's here and it is wonderful. He is such a great kid. He has his driver's permit, so, for practice he has been driving us every where. He LOVES that. He's really getting good and has learned the way to most of the places we go. Being chauffeured has been nice. Jordan has become quite the little backseat driver (just like her mom.) She says, "be careful, Kyle," "turn right," "turn left," and "go faster!" We all get a good laugh.
Rock Band on PS3 has been a sanity saver for me this summer. The 3 older kids, Kyle, Aryn, and Natalee, play everyday for hours. They are all really good. Kyle had not played the drums before but he's rockin' them now. Gavin is learning the drums and doing great! It's fun to watch thier faces as they concentrate. Jordan "plays" the drums when they are free. She can barely see over them, so cute!
When they aren't playing Rock Band they are taking turns on the computer. Gavin LOVES World of Warcraft and got one character (a blood elf) to level 11 all on his own! He is very proud! Gavin was impressed yesterday when Kyle leveled up in just 45 minutes.
Most evenings we watch a few episodes of Farscape as a family. Gavin now pretends to be Ka D'Argo. We just watched the season finale of season 2 and it is getting interesting. In the last episode we watched Aeryn Sun died because Scorpius took over John Crichton's mind. John Crichton had the chip in his head removed which caused him to lose speech function. Scorpius walked in during the surgery and killed the doctor so John Crichton is laying on the operating table whith his brain hanging out and unable to talk! We can't wait for the next disc to arrive in the mail. We use Netflix. We are so bad at returning movies so it really saves us money, lol. Plus we really enjoy renting TV series.
John is taking off work Thursday through Monday. We have fun days planned. The kids don't know yet so I won't chance spoiling the surpise but I'll post about it afterwards. It should be lots of fun. Saturday we are going to the Tennessee Aquarium with most of my family. My sister Kimberly is going to school close by and wanted us all to see where she will be living and see her school. My parents are also going to stay the night and go to Kimberly's new ward with her on Sunday.
