Day of Fun #1

Well, today was planned to be a movie marathon day but John was concerned that the little kids wouldn't be entertained long enough. So, we decided to head to the park for a picnic lunch and to burn some energy before our movie marathon. We had such a fun time! The kids usually play hide and seek but this time I suggested we play sardines - the game where one person hides...then the others hide with them until everyone finds the hiding spot. Everyone loved it. John even played. We had to really pack in some places, lol. After about 10 rounds of sardines we were worn out and ready to go home to cool off.

Jordan was too excited to eat. She sat on the edge of the picnic area and looked down the hill staring at the park.












Then we had a mini movie marathon. We recently signed up for the Disney movie club and bought lots of classic Disney movies...Peter Pan, Fox and the Hound, The Sword and the Stone, Robin Hood, Mulan, and The Emperor's New Groove...we had them on VHS but wanted them on DVD. We decided to watch 3 Disney movies...Peter Pan, Robin Hood, and The Emperor's New Groove. We had dinner as we watched the movies ...7 layer dip, popcorn and candy...YUM! The kids each had a popcorn bag with their name on it and they got to pick out their very own box of movie candy.




It turned out to be a wonderful day!
Right now I'm working on a few last minute things for tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it!
