The biggest news in our lives around this time last year was we bought our first house!
John and I decided one day to just go looking at houses. We ended up in this random neighborhood and saw that they were selling the model homes. Since we were curious about the price, we went ahead and called the realtor. She said she could meet us right away. We took a tour of the house. Then, she told us about a few more homes in the neighborhood for sale. We were interested in a couple and went to look at one immediately. It was a cute yellow house. I really loved the outside but, the inside was just too small for us. So, no cute yellow house for me.
We took a look at the second one. The yard was the largest in the neighborhood, a half acre. It had 3 bedrooms, a large loft, and 2 bathrooms. It was 2650 total sq ft so the bedrooms were huge! They had just knocked $10,000 off the price that day. It took John just a few minutes to tell the realtor we wanted the house.
Then it was time for the waiting game. We had never tried to buy a house and had no idea if we could even get a loan. I tried so hard not to get my hopes up but, I was already decorating my new home. Finally, after lots and lots of paperwork and a few surprises, we got it!!

A Publix employee wrote on the box. :)

We started remodeling the day we moved in!

I found the photos I took of the house before we moved in. I'll be sharing those in my post Sunday, showing before and after photos.
Here's a few random photos from last year.
Jordan made a tiny snowman. Isn't she adorable!

A random photo of Aryn.

My mom is always fun! She jumped onto the horse ride with Jordan at Wal-Mart.

Playing one of my favorite games Rumikub.

Gavin needed a hair cut...badly. No time to cut it before church so we had fun with it.

Jordan learned how to blow a bubblegum bubble. She was so excited.

Another photo of my sweet little girl.

I hope you have a great weekend!
