Just Some Randomness

Still keeping busy around here.

Let's see...what has happened since my last post.

The bride decided on white with pink detail for the wedding cake. The wedding is next Saturday! We are all excited.

We had our stamp club meeting. We made 2 cute projects. A couple of garden/yard decorations. I'll be posting more about those on my scrapbooking blog soon.



Just before the stamp club meeting was supposed to start Gavin thought he would stand on the air conditioner unit at our neighbor's home to see if the air pressure would lift him like in video games. To his surprise the grate broke and his bare foot fell into the moving fan. So John took him to Urgent Care while I had my stamp club meeting. The doctor was surprised to learn that Gavin had not been wearing a shoe because his injury was so minimal. He only needed 8 stitches when it could have been so much worse! The stitches were removed yesterday. The doctor is a little worried of infection. It is nearly impossible to keep a 7 year old boy's foot clean! So most likely he will start an antibiotic next week.


We recovered our kitchen chairs. They look so much better and you can wipe off spills! That makes me happy.



Chewie has become part of the family. Jordan is no longer afraid of him but he is learning to fear her, lol. Seriously, she is going to love him to death! They are adorable together though. We've only had a few accidents inside. Mostly our fault since we aren't used to remembering to take him out. Plus, with all the rain he will not go outside to do his business. He watches for the bus and barks when the kids get home. After the kids are in bed he is the sweetest thing. He just curls up and watches tv with us.

Speaking of the dog not going out in the rain, it has been raining quite a bit. Last night one clap of thunder was so earth shaking things fell off of shelves. We were surprised the kids didn't wake up but Chewie started whining. It must have been exactly over us because WOW it was something else. There was also deep rolling thunder. I love the sound of rolling thunder.


We found this beautiful guy on our front door a few mornings ago.


I've been enjoying photography a lot lately. You can see more of my recent photos on my photography blog. Be sure to scroll down, I've posted a few new ones. On Saturday I have my first paid session! Plus the friend I recently took maternity photos of had her baby girl and I can not wait to photograph her. Newborns are my fav to photograph!


All of the schools out here have been closed for the last couple of days because of 3 probable cases of swine flu in one of the elementary schools. We have enjoyed our extra long weekend.

I'm going on a date tonight with my sweetheart. We are going to see the X-men movie! I'm really looking forward to the Star Trek movie as well. Oh, and the Terminator one, too. Lots of good movies coming out!
