Our Kids...

...get such delight from scaring me! I admit, I'm pretty jumpy anyway, so it isn't very difficult. Yesterday during our Sunday nap, to keep entertained our kids gathered every plastic creepy crawly they could find and booby-trapped the house. I found most of them and pretended to scream and jump so I could hear their little giggles of joy from success in terrifying their mother. Others were placed more creatively. I lifted the lid to the washer to start a load of laundry and a black plastic spider fell, bouncing to the bottom of the tub. Yes, I screamed like a little girl and jumped back a foot or two before I realized it wasn't a real spider trying to climb up the sides.

Well, during my daily clean-up I moved a box that was blocking the back door and waiting for me was another token of affection from my sweet children.

I had no idea we even had a fake scorpion so I was quite surprised to find this guy hiding there. I must have jumped pretty high because Jordan ran over and asked, "What scare you, Momma?" Gavin was a little disappointed when he realized I found it while he was at school and he missed out on seeing me frightened.

That's so funny...sorry! At least they aren't real though. I had 2 REAL creepy crawly visitors in the stroller not too long ago. A scorpion and a black widow!! Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it! They are now dead, and the stroller lives in my car instead of in the carport! No more creepy crawly visitors in my baby's ride!
