John was rightfully nervous about taking our 4 kids and the Dinehart's 3 kids to so many places in one night. My sister, Amy, said we were brave. To our surprise all of the kids were wonderful. By the time they were getting restless at one place it was time to go to the next, so it worked out perfectly. I found fake passports in the scrapbooking isle of all places. I suppose people use them as embellishments on a scrapbook page but they were too cute so I bought one for each of the kids. I printed out mini flags and at each stop we stamped our passports and talked about the different countries we visited. The kids LOVED it.
Our first stop Italy.
(Olive Garden for appetizers)
We enjoyed fried ravioli, fried mozzarella, fried zucchini, chicken fingers, and, of course, bread sticks.
Next we boarded our minivans and traveled to the country of Thailand.
(Phuket for our first course.)
The food was SO yummy especially the spicy beef. I really want the recipe!
Then we were off to Tokyo. We made good time. Traveled from Thailand to Japan in less than 10 minutes!
(Tokyo restaurant for the main course.)

This was definitely the most entertaining stop for the evening!
The kids were so impressed. Especially with the fire!
Jordan was terrified by the burst of flames. She cried a bit about it but got over it pretty quickly.
The next time the fire started she covered her eyes!
We each had chicken, steak and shrimp. It was all very tasty!
We concluded our travels in the country of Mexico.
(Casa Blanca for dessert)
I see palm trees we must be there!

We had chips and salsa followed by fried ice cream. Yummy combo, huh?
I had never tried fried ice cream. It sure was delicioso!
I hope you enjoyed reading about our travels abroad!
We had such an amazing time. It's an experience we won't forget!
You should definitely plan a trip for your family and friends.

WOW!!! What a great idea - it looks like you all had a great time! Thanks for sharing!!!
What a fantastic idea! I will have to file this one away for future use, although I don't think my kids would be so cooperative with the different world cuisine. We will have to work on that one!
It looks like it turned out great! I love the passports and I'm sure the kids really could get into going places with that. Great pictures Rachel!
How fun! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
How insanely fun!! I am totally gonna steal this idea. Thanks!!!

What a fun idea! I'll have to remember this one. You know what that means...I better write it down on a post-it note because I can't remember anything unless it is written down! Haha, good ol' pregnancy brain :o)
That is such a fun idea! And it looks like you all had a blast! I can't wait to try it in four years! Love you guys!
How incredibly fun! I will definitely remember that and hopefully we can do it sometime. Next time you go to Casa Blanca, you have to get the chocolate chimichanga for dessert! That's my favorite!
