We are all so happy with John's new work/school schedule this semester! He now works in the morning and attends his classes in the afternoon/evening. John is able to be home before dinner 5 nights a week! Compared to last semester's 2 nights a week, this schedule is amazing. He's home by 2 pm on Friday so we can actually go on dates and hang out with friends again. We are also excited about playing World of Warcraft again. Most of all, we really enjoy having dinner with Daddy and enjoying the evening together as a family. Here's a video clip of a typical family dinner. Jordan thinks it's show time for her. Obviously, we are all gathered around the table to watch her. (To turn off the background music scroll to the bottom of the page.)
For the last few nights our family time has been spent rockin' out on Rock Band! It's more fun than we expected. John and Natalee usually play the guitar. Aryn likes to sing or play drums. Gavin likes the drums. The chance to hit something with sticks really appeals to him. I love the drums. John was actually surprised I like to play as much as I do. The girls have a band called the "Flaming Daisyz." John and I called our band "The Bobs." We've had fun making characters and watching them play on the screen while we play.
Rock on!

The band game looks fun even for those of us who are not really musical..we still don't have a Wii, but maybe one day. That is so awsome that John gets home earlier. It is so nice to eat dinner together as a family. I must confess for dinner tonight we has little ceasear's bread sticks and sauce and everytime we drive by the Lafrontera I think of you and wish you were here and we could go to lunch. So next time you are in the neighborhood let's go!
Looks like you all have so much fun together!!
I wished I would have known about the Rock Band for the xbox 360. I would love to jam on the drums and scream in the microphone to "Talk Dirty To Me". I guess we are stuck with Guitar Hero 3 for now. When can I come to play, I mean for a visit? lol
When Chris comes home is one of my favorite times of the day so I can imagine what it must mean to have John home earlier. How great for you guys!
That game looks like a blast. I am gonna have to see if Chris knows about it.
Yeah!! I know you are so happy to have John home earlier! I hated when Jared was working and going to school, and then, this past fall, he was coaching soccer so he didn't get home until late several nights of the week. He's hoping to finish up school with online classes. So, I guess we need to get together and hang out again!!
Looks like they all love their dad! It also looks like y'all had fun playing!
