Our Christmas

While we were in Tennessee at my parent's home we decided to take family photos. I'm so glad one turned out nice enough to use. Everyone is looking and smiling except Jordan, but at least she's not screaming. I just have to say, we sure are blessed to have such beautiful and wonderful children!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas. We had a great time at the Broadhurst's home. On Christmas Eve we picked up Kyle from the airport around 12:30 pm and headed off to Tennessee. After everyone arrived and unloaded their vehicles we ate our traditional smorgasbord of meats, cheeses, crackers, rolls, pickles, and jellies. We gathered together and watched The Nativity. John commented that the book is better, LOL. Gavin could not sit still for the movie. He was just too excited sitting next to all those presents. Finally, it was time to open gifts! We had the most difficult time keeping Jordan from opening every present she saw. She would say, "My Burtday!" Everyone loved all of the gifts they received. We are so blessed. Thanks to everyone who thought of us!!

Christmas day I made homemade cinnamon rolls. It took 3 hours so it ended up being brunch instead of breakfast. I was not getting up at 6 am! Later we had a traditional Christmas dinner - turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, funeral potatoes, green bean casserole. Yummy! After dinner we played games. Oh, Heck is now my family's favorite game. We act so silly and laugh so hard. It's always a great time!

The day after Christmas my brother Nathan and his family came up to the Broadhurst's. Will, my nephew, was ready to open gifts right away. He is such a cute boy! He loves LOTR. He got "the ring" in his stocking and was wearing it around his neck. We asked if he was a ring bearer. He said, "No, I'm just a little boy." Will thought it was fun to have Jordan chase him all around the house. They both would laugh hystarically. Then Will and Gavin went outside and dug one inch holes to catch the coyotes. I don't know why. you've got to love little boy logic and imagination. The adults played Oh, Heck. I think Nathan and his wife Mandy enjoyed it. After the game everyone loaded up the vehicles and headed home.

It was so nice to just enjoy family and relax. I didn't look at a clock for 3 days!

Here's a short slideshow of my favorite pictures this holiday. Some you may have seen but I added lots of new ones. Enjoy!
